[englisch/amerikanisch, 'njuː'eɪdʒ'dʒæz], Fusion aus New-Age-Musik (New Age) und Jazz, wobei die Grenzen sowohl nach der einen wie auch nach der anderen Seite ausgesprochen fließend sind. Gemeint ist ein atmosphärisches, spirituelles und intellektuelles Musizieren mit meditativem Einschlag. Als typische Vertreter gelten zumindest mit einem Teil ihrer Produktionen der Pianist George Winston (* 1949), der Harfenist Andreas Vollenweider (* 1956), der Saxophonist Paul Winter (* 1939) und die Synthesizer-Artistin Suzanne Ciani (* 1954).
